Pisces is the twelfth sign of the zodiac and is connected to sensitivity, creativity, compassion, love, spirituality, intuition, healing, surrender and self-sacrifice. The dates for Pisces season begin around February 19th and last until March 20th.
Pisces is represented by the symbol of two fish swimming in different directions representing the very “flowy” nature of this sign. Pisces is connected to a myth involving the Goddess Aphrodite and the God Eros who were trying to escape the monster Typhon. The myth states that they called on the God Zeus for help and he turned them into fish so they could jump into the river and swim away.
Pisces is a mutable, water sign which means that it loves change and going with the flow. This sign is ruled by Jupiter which is connected to things like spirituality, beliefs, wisdom, luck, growth and abundance. Therefore, Pisces is also connected to things like being of service to others, generosity, acts of kindness and selflessness.
Pisces Sun
The Sun in Pisces can make you someone who’s very imaginative, kind, intuitive and sensitive. Pisces is a sign that loves to explore the creative, spiritual and emotional realms. The opposite sign of Pisces is Virgo which is connected to things like logical thinking, analysis, problem-solving, the details and organization.
Pisces is also deeply connected to empathy and healing and is known for its compassionate nature. Whereas Virgo is more connected to practicality and organization and is known for its efficient nature. Because of this, Pisces can be seen as the more emotionally-minded sign and Virgo can be seen as the more rationally-minded sign.
In the tarot, Pisces is connected to both the High Priestess and Moon cards. The High Priestess is connected to intuition, inner wisdom, secrets and mystery. The Moon card represents confusion, illusion, the unknown, instincts and things which are hidden. Both cards are connected to emotion, intuition and mystery and needing to use your other senses in a situation.
Pisces is a very idealistic sign that values creativity and imagination and can also be very clairvoyant due to its visionary nature. Because of this Pisces can also be seen as psychic, spiritually aware, high vibrational and spiritually sensitive. In relationships, especially love, Pisces is known for wanting to merge and become one with their partner, as they crave deep emotional connections with others. Because of this they can tend to lose themselves in relationships sometimes.
