Justice Tarot Card Meaning

Justice is the twelfth card in the major arcana and represents balance, karmic justice, fairness, law, order and diplomacy. Justice is represented by the number eleven as it’s connected to a higher level of wisdom and order as well as harmony and compassion. The number eleven is a master number connected to inner wisdom, intuitive insight, divine messages and enlightenment.

Justice is connected to the element air and the zodiac sign Libra, as it’s associated with balance, harmony, cooperation and communication. This card can also represent fairness without bias and the karmic law and order of the universe.

This card is connected to the planet Venus which represents beauty, abundance, creativity and love. Because of this, Justice can also be connected to things like a fair outcome, divine support and that justice will be served in a situation.

Justice Meaning

This card can show that things will be dealt with in a fair manner according to the laws of the universe and what needs to be done karmically to balance out the scales. The image on the card shows a woman wearing flowing robes, holding scales and a sword pointing up to the sky. 

On the card, the woman sits in front of a curtain and in between two pillars symbolizing divine wisdom, structure and law. So Justice can mean that the universe is handling a situation and if things have been done in an honorable way then there will be a fair outcome. 

Therefore, when Justice comes up in a reading it can represent cause and effect and that actions have consequences whether good or bad. Although, Justice can also show that a level of compassion will be brought to the situation as well. Alternatively, Justice can also represent accountability, taking responsibility for your actions and acting honorably. The Wheel of Fortune Tarot Card Meaning

The Awakened Sage

The Wheel of Fortune is the eleventh card in the major arcana and represents a change of fortune, a turn of events, ups and downs and Universal law. The Wheel of Fortune is represented by the number ten as it’s connected to the completion of a karmic cycle and a rebirth. The number ten is connected to wholeness, unity, independence, leadership and infinite potential.

The Wheel of Fortune is connected to the element fire and all the zodiac signs, as it’s associated with the universe, fate, karma and destiny. This card can also act as a reminder that life is in a constant state of change and sometimes you’re on top of the wheel and sometimes you’re at the bottom.

This card is connected to the planet Jupiter which represents wisdom, abundance, expansion and luck. Because of this, the Wheel of Fortune can also be connected to things like a fortunate turn of events, good fortune and a balancing of the karmic scales.

The Wheel of Fortune Meaning

This card represents that a change of fortune is coming to your life which could be positive or negative depending on the other cards around it. The image on the card shows a wheel with four Hebrew letters as well as the letters TORA which is said to be connected to the word Torah which means “law” or “teachings”. 

On the card, a sphinx sits at the top of the wheel, the God Anubis is on the right side of the wheel and the snake Typhon is on the left. In each corner is a representation of the four fixed zodiac signs Aquarius, Leo, Taurus and Scorpio. So the Wheel of Fortune can symbolize destiny, fate and the karmic laws of the universe. 

Therefore, when the Wheel of Fortune comes up in a reading it can show that you’re going through a cycle and that wherever you currently are, know that things are about to change. Alternatively, the Wheel of Fortune can also show that the universe is stepping in with a situation in your life in order to balance out the karmic scales and that you will need to go with the flow. A turn of events, change, karma, life cycles, destiny, good fortune, good luck, the ebb and flow of life, ups and downs, universal law and balance.

Reversed

The Hermit Tarot Card Meaning

The Hermit is the tenth card in the major arcana and represents a solitary journey, searching for enlightenment, solitude and inner wisdom. The Hermit is represented by the number nine as it’s connected to energies of wisdom, transition, transformation and a higher spiritual force. The number nine is connected to completions and the closing out of one cycle in order to usher in the new.

The Hermit is connected to the element earth and the zodiac sign Virgo, as it’s associated with paying attention to the details and grounding oneself in order to receive enlightenment. This card can also show that a period of solitude may be required, as this will allow you to connect to your own energy and higher-self.

This card is connected to the planet Mercury which represents communication, the exchange of information, analytical thinking, intellect and self-expression. Because of this, the Hermit can also be connected to things like research, problem-solving and searching for answers.

The Hermit Meaning

This card represents a time where you may be seeking wisdom and the best way to do this will be through your own inner guidance and intuitive voice. The image on the card shows an older man wearing a long robe and holding a lantern to light his path. 

On the card, the Hermit is standing on a mountain preparing for the long journey ahead. The lantern only lights up the first few steps of his journey leaving the rest of it in the dark, which will be revealed as he begins to take his first steps. So the Hermit can symbolize a need to be patient with the process and trust your own inner wisdom on the journey ahead. 

Therefore, when the Hermit comes up in a reading it can show that you may need some time alone to yourself in quiet contemplation so as to not be influenced by the world around you. Alternatively, the Hermit can also represent things like withdrawal, going into oneself, isolation, introspection and self-discovery. The Lovers is the seventh card in the major arcana and represents a choice of the heart, soul connections, partnerships, alignment and a divinely guided path. The Lovers is represented by the number six as it’s connected to energies of partnerships, harmony, support and love. The number six represents compassion, loyalty, caretaking and emotional support.

The Lovers is connected to the element of air and the zodiac sign Gemini, as it’s associated with communication, socializing, social connections, duality and opening up. This card can also represent a divine purpose and union, kindred spirit, duality and true will.

This card is connected to the planet Mercury which represents communication, the exchange of information, analytical thinking, intellect and self-expression. Because of this, the Lovers can also be connected to things like open communication, creation, manifestation, unity and messages from the divine.

The Lovers Meaning

This card represents a connection between the heart and mind, the ego and soul and being in alignment with your life choices. The image on the card shows a man and woman who are naked in a garden and are seemingly being brought together by the angel in the sky above them. 

In the card, the woman is standing in front of an apple tree with a snake and the man is standing in front of a flaming tree, symbolizing the Garden of Eden. So the Lovers can symbolize a sacred union or that you are being presented with a choice of the heart and that it may be best to make the choice that’s aligned with your values and morals. 

Therefore, when the Lovers comes up in a reading it can show that you are seeking meaningful connections in your life and that in order to do this it will be best to make your decisions based on your heart. Alternatively, the Lovers can also represent vulnerability, being open and seen, authenticity and staying true to yourself. A heart-based choice, alignment of your values, a divine union, relationships, a divinely guided path, soul connection, choices, meaningful relationships.

The Empress Tarot Card Meaning

The Empress is the fourth card in the major arcana and represents abundance, fertility, the divine feminine, nurturing, creativity and sensuality. The Empress is represented by the number three as it’s connected to energies of manifestation, creation, birth and rebirth. The number three represents communication, the exchange of information, creativity, manifestation and the holy trinity. 

The Empress is connected to the element of earth and the zodiac sign Taurus, as it’s associated with the fertile earth, stability, your values, self-love and self-care. This card symbolizes that there is fertile energy and potential around you at this time and that it may be in your best interest to get in touch with your creativity in order to “give birth” to something abundant in your life.

This card is also connected to the planet Venus which represents love, values, abundance, creativity, prosperity, relationships and sensuality. Because of this the Empress can also be connected to things like self-expression, how you nurture yourself and the relationships in your life and how you express your values.

The Empress Meaning

This card shows that you’re manifesting something into being and that there are seeds being planted at this time which if you nurture correctly will sprout, grow and develop into something potentially abundant. The image on the card shows a woman sitting on a throne in a lush forest wearing a crown and holding a scepter. Sometimes she’s also portrayed as being pregnant due to her fertile nature.

In the card, the Empress is wearing a gown decorated with pomegranates which symbolize regeneration, life, fertility, abundance, the menstrual cycle and initiation. Pomegranates were a sacred symbol in the ancient world and are also connected to the myth of Persephone and Hades. So the Empress can symbolize the beginning stages of an initiation into the mysteries of life that are centered around the process of creation, birth and rebirth. 

The Empress is ruled by earth energies which are typically slower moving and require loving care in order to grow. Therefore, when the Empress comes up in a reading it can show that you will need to play a consistent role in bringing your manifestations to life and that this will be something that doesn’t happen overnight. Alternatively, the Empress can also represent things like pregnancy, the mother archetype, self-love, self-care and the goddess.
