The Six of Wands is the sixth card of the wands suit in the minor arcana and represents success, victory, being the winner, progress with your goals and positive attention. This card represents the win or victory that comes after the battle of the five of wands.

The Six of Wands is associated with the number six which is connected to things like harmony, generosity, nurturing and dedication. So this card can represent a dedication to your goals and the positive recognition that comes with achieving them.

The Six of Wands is connected to the element fire and the planet Jupiter, as it’s associated with enthusiasm, being in the spotlight, glory and triumph. In love readings this card can represent things like flirtation, attraction or receiving attention from someone from a romantic perspective.

The Six of Wands Meaning

This card is connected to reaching a significant milestone with your goals and achieving a victory for yourself. This involves a process of having to overcome different challenges and obstacles in order to accomplish this. So this card can also be a representation of encouragement to keep going after what you want.

The image on the card shows a man wearing a laurel leaf crown while sitting on a white horse and holding a wand. His head is held high with pride and around him are people cheering him on while holding celebratory wands. This represents the public recognition of him achieving a goal and the praise that comes with this.

So the Six of Wands can show that your hard work will pay off and that it will have been worth the effort. This card shows the point where you’ve won the battle and now you’re being recognized and celebrated for it. Now is the time to be proud of yourself for achieving your goal and this will also boost your confidence to keep going after what’s important to you.

Therefore, when the Six of Wands comes up in a reading it can mean that you will achieve what you set out to achieve and that victory will be yours. Alternatively, the Six of Wands can also represent things like egotism, needing validation, confidence and feeling self-assured. Always look to the cards around it for clarification or to get a deeper meaning.
