Goddess Isis

The Awakened Sage

Isis is an Egyptian Mother Goddess associated with magic, healing, wisdom, protection and fertility. The name Isis is the Greek form of the ancient Egyptian word Aset which means “throne” and so her name can mean “Queen of the Throne”. She is seen as a Mother Goddess with the power to heal the sick and is a great protector of women and children.

Isis is the daughter of the God Geb (earth) and the Goddess Nut (sky) and wife to the God Osiris (underworld) who is also her brother. She is most well-known for the myth involving the death of her husband Osiris and her resurrection of him. While Isis is mourning the death of Osiris she’s also using her magic to bring him back to life and after this she gives birth to her son Horus, God of the sky.

So Isis is also connected to the power of resurrection and divine birth as she is mother to Horus who became King after avenging the death of his father. Due to this she is also compared to the Christian Mother Mary who gave birth to Jesus, who is also seen as a kingly figure.

Signs that Isis is Calling You

Isis will show up in your life when you’re in need of healing, nurturing, mothering and protection. She can bring you the strength and power to not give up in the face of adversity. Isis can also call to you in order to remind you of your magical nature or your innate magical abilities.

So if you feel drawn towards learning about or practicing magic in some way, this can be a sign that she is calling you towards a magical path. Isis is connected to symbols such as the Sun, rattles, thrones, knots and cows so if you see these symbols showing up in your life a lot it may be a sign that she’s communicating with you.

Isis is also connected to dreams and dream-work as ancient people would engage in the practice of sleeping in her temples in order to receive guidance and prophecy from her through their dreams. So if you start having dreams with messages or symbolism of Isis and ancient Egypt this can be a sign that she is calling to you.

Working with Isis

There are many ways to work with Isis and as with any Goddess or deity creating some kind of altar no matter how simple or elaborate is a great place to start. For your altar you can add statues, artwork and/or items such as lapis lazuli crystal, incense, symbols of the ankh, pyramids, etc. This is your way of creating a sacred space to connect with her energy.

You can also call to her by saying a simple prayer like “Isis, Mother Goddess of healing, please bring me healing energy so that I may experience a rebirth.” You can create your own unique prayer or invocation to her as well, whatever feels right to you. Once you have called out to her allow yourself to sit in quiet meditation for a few minutes so that you can start to feel and connect with her energy.

Pay attention to any messages, feelings or sensations that come through at this time and over time you will start to become more familiar with her energy. If you feel so inclined you can even write these things down in a journal which you can refer back to while you’re learning how to connect with Goddess energy. Always be sure to leave some kind of offering when working with any deity and with Isis you can leave things like flowers, incense, honey, milk, wine or even something you make yourself.

You can even do things like volunteer at a children’s hospital and/or women’s shelter. Whatever is available to you and whatever you feel most called to in order to honor her energy. These are simple ways that you can begin connecting with the Goddess Isis and with time and practice you’ll be able to recognize her energy more easily.

Goddess Gaia

The Awakened Sage

Gaia is a Greek Goddess associated with the earth, fertility, abundance, grounding, nurturing and life-giving energies. The name Gaia translates to mean “land” or “earth”. She is seen as a Mother Goddess and the personification of the earth itself.

Gaia is a primordial deity and one of the first to be born at the dawn of creation. She is said to have emerged from Chaos which is the formless void that existed before the creation of the universe, immortals and mortals. Gaia is equivalent to the Roman Goddess Terra Mater who is seen as Mother Earth.

So Gaia is essentially seen as the mother of all creation and the first born deity. She has no parents which can signify her power as being a fully autonomous divine being. She gave birth to Uranus (heaven), Ourea (mountains) and Pontus (sea) and then married her son Uranus and gave birth to the twelve Titan Gods.

Signs that Gaia is Calling You

Gaia will show up in your life when you’re in need of nurturing, grounding and balancing energies. She can bring you back down to earth when you’ve been doing too much or dealing with lots of problems and challenges.

Being drawn to spending more time in nature or getting a lot of animal signs/omens can be signs that she’s calling you or guiding you in some way. If you feel called to start doing work to protect the environment or animals this can be her calling to you. Feeling drawn to things like gardening, doing outdoor activities or even eating healthy foods and doing a physical detox can also be signs that she’s communicating with you.

Gaia was also the original deity associated with the Oracle of Delphi where Gaia, instead of Apollo, would speak the oracles. So if you start feeling your intuitive senses coming to life, having prophetic dreams or are becoming increasingly more aware and sensitive, this can be a sign that she is calling to you.

Working with Gaia

There are many ways to work with Gaia and as with any Goddess or deity creating some kind of altar no matter how simple or elaborate is a great place to start. Once you have called out to her allow yourself to sit in quiet meditation for a few minutes so that you can start to feel and connect with her energy.

Archangels

Archangel Haniel

Archangel Haniel is connected to the Divine Feminine, the cycles of the Moon, joy, beauty, sensitivity and intuition. Her name means “Grace of God” as she has a very graceful, loving and compassionate energy.

Archangel Haniel is associated with the Moon and women’s mysteries connecting her to the Divine Feminine and Goddess energy. She’s also connected to intuition, inner wisdom and Clairvoyance and she also encourages these gifts within you. 

She’s connected to the color turquoise which is associated with healing, peace, wisdom, good fortune and spiritual protection. Archangel Haniel is also associated with the Turquoise Ray which is a light ray connected to higher spiritual consciousness, enlightenment, self-development, joy and creative self-expression.

Archangel Haniel is connected to the element of water as she’s associated with the Moon, intuition and imagination. She’s also connected to the heart and throat chakras as she encourages you to express your heart in a compassionate, authentic way. 

Signs that Archangel Haniel is Around You

Archangel Haniel will show up in your life when you’re in need of more joy, beauty, fulfillment and pleasure. She comes in to help you see the beauty around you and to stay in the present moment, as there is always something to be grateful for and joy can be found in the little things in life.

She may also send you signs and messages through animals such as hummingbirds and birds in general as well as butterflies. Encountering the color turquoise often, seeing images of the Goddess or seeing Moons everywhere can also be signs that she’s trying to communicate with you

Certain number vibrations like 22 and 222 are connected to her so if you see this number a lot, she may be trying to communicate with you. The number 22 is a master builder number and this can be seen as encouragement from Archangel Haniel to keep building your life from a place of joy and to pursue your highest potential. 

Lastly, you may know that Archangel Haniel is near if you start feeling called to build your intuitive abilities. This is her way of reminding you that all the wisdom you need can be found within you and to listen to that inner guiding system, as it will lead you towards your highest purpose in life.

Praying to Archangel Haniel

The best way to invoke Archangel Haniel is to simply ask for her to bring more joy, healing and support to your life. You can say a simple prayer like “Archangel Haniel, please surround me in your turquoise light. Please bring me joy, encouragement and the courage to pursue my highest potential, and so it is”. Feel free to make it your own by changing some of the words or adding “amen” at the end. Whatever feels right to you.

The best way to connect with Angelic energy, or any spiritual energy, is to do so from a place of authenticity as this is when you’ll be most connected to your soul. Another way to pray to or invoke Archangel Haniel is to light a turquoise candle and imagine yourself surrounded in a sparkly, turquoise light. Then recite a prayer to Archangel Haniel and this can be one you create yourself or the one from the previous paragraph.

Once you recite the prayer, hold the vision of the turquoise light around you for a few minutes and feel its loving, healing energy. Be aware of any intuitive messages that come through at this time, as they could be from Archangel Haniel. Pay attention to how you feel and what energies, feelings or vibrations come over you.

These are simple ways that you can begin connecting with Archangel Haniel and with time and practice you’ll be able to recognize her energy more easily.
