Two of Wands Tarot Card Meaning

The Two of Wands is the second card of the wands suit in the minor arcana and represents planning, progress, charting new territory, pursuing growth and making decisions. The Two of Wands is associated with the number two which is connected to things like relationships, intuition, decisions and cooperation.

The Two of Wands is connected to the element fire and the planet Mars, as it’s associated with taking action, pursuing your goals and enthusiasm. This card can represent a crossroads of sorts where you’re at a point of pursuing growth and are trying to decide which path to take in order to accomplish this.

The Two of Wands represents the planning stages of expanding your horizons, charting new territory and achieving success with your goals. This card shows that you may desire growth and that you’re trying to find the best options to achieve this. In love readings this card can represent a desire to create growth in your current relationship or a desire to explore other romantic opportunities.

The Two of Wands Meaning

This card represents the process of creating expansion when it comes to your passions, goals, desires and interests. This card comes after the Ace of Wands which signifies a point on your path where that initial spark of potential has been ignited and now you’re trying to build upon that.

The image on the card shows a man holding a globe in one hand and a wand in the other representing his search for the best opportunities. He wears a red robe and hat which symbolizes his passion and drive to achieve success. In the background is a wide open and vast space signifying all of the opportunities available to him. Essentially, the world is his oyster.

So the Two of Wands can represent that you may want more but you’re still in the planning phase and haven’t taken action quite yet. It signifies a need to consider all of the options available to you and then be willing to get out of your comfort zone in order to pursue them. This card shows that you need to make sure the opportunities you choose align with your goals and will take you towards the success you’re wanting.

Therefore, when the Two of Wands comes up in a reading it can mean that it’ll be important to consider your long-term goals and whether an opportunity is going to get you there before you jump on it. Alternatively, the Two of Wands can also represent things like indecision, holding back and a turning point. Always look to the cards around it for clarification or to get a deeper meaning.
