Jupiter in Astrology

The planet Jupiter in Astrology represents expansion, luck, abundance, optimism, beliefs, wisdom and spirituality. In the birth chart Jupiter represents how you grow, your luck and where you’re expanding your horizons. This planet likes to expand things and make them bigger with it’s larger than life energy.

Jupiter is a planet of higher learning, philosophy and higher consciousness and is known as the “Great Benefic”. In Roman mythology Jupiter is known as King of the Gods and is connected to the sky, thunder and protection. In Greek Mythology Jupiter is connected to the God Zeus who is also a thunder God and King of the Gods on Mount Olympus.

Jupiter represents where you seek out more meaning in your life by opening up your world to learning and exploration in order to facilitate growth. This planet can represent your beliefs, perspectives, how you seek out knowledge and develop wisdom. While being mostly known for it’s benefic energies, it can also lead to things like over-indulgence if it’s energy is not properly balanced.

Challenging aspects made to your Jupiter such as a square can show obstacles, restrictions, limitations and tension when it comes to creating growth and expansion. Positive aspects made to Jupiter such as a trine can indicate harmonious, strong and supportive expressions of Jupiter.
