The Star is the eighteenth card in the major arcana and represents hope, faith, peace, alignment, abundance and inspiration. The Star is represented by the number seventeen which breaks down to eight, so each number will have connections to the meaning of this card. The number seventeen is connected to things like searching for deeper meaning, prosperity and independence.
The Star is connected to the element air and the zodiac sign Aquarius, as it’s associated with wisdom, hope, spiritual insight and staying optimistic. This card can also represent the presence of a spiritual guide or to let you know that you’re being divinely guided.
This card is connected to the planet Uranus which represents rebellion, sudden change, upheaval and chaos. Because of this, the Star can also be connected to things like a recovery process, healing and keeping the faith throughout life’s challenges.
The Star Meaning
This card brings a message of hope, sanctuary and holding onto your faith in life. After the destructive energy of the Tower, the Star brings a welcome message of peace and represents the calm after the storm. This card can show that the healing process has begun and to have faith in the process.
The image on the card shows a naked woman pouring water into a pond with one hand and pouring water onto the earth with the other. On the card, eight stars sparkle in the night sky which hang above a serene landscape. The stars are also eight-pointed stars which strongly connects the energy of this card to the numerology of the number eight.
This number is connected to things like abundance, spiritual growth, raising your vibration and expanding consciousness. So the Star can represent a heightened level of awareness, spiritual awakening or a calling to a higher purpose. This card can be a sign that you’re going through a spiritual growth process and becoming more enlightened.
Therefore, when the Star comes up in a reading it can represent striving to reach your full potential in life, following your dreams and aspirations. Alternatively, the Star can also represent things like a test of faith, searching for a deeper purpose as well as renewal. Always look to the cards around it for clarification or to get a deeper meaning.
